SMITHS mobile horsebox bar is an elegant, 1969 Rice horsebox available for hire across Suffolk, Norfolk and Essex.
We pride ourselves on our level of service and attention to detail, going an extra mile to make your bar experience truly memorable for both you and your guests.

We know you're excited, the date is finally in the diary so now all the fun of planning can truly start. Whether you are just gathering information or making firm commitments, we understand the process of planning a wedding or special party can bring its stresses. We are here to help take the strain so you can enjoy your big day with your loved ones without worrying about the minutiae of the bar.
We offer several bar options and can arrange a bespoke drinks menu if there is something particular you would like us to serve to your guests. Maybe a personalised tipple for 'Cocktail Hour' or for something different why not hire us for the next day too, think Bloody Marys for brunch.... the possibilities for memorable bar experiences are endless.
We put just as much effort into planning the bar experience for birthday parties, anniversaries and all big life events, we want your special celebration to hold memories to be cherished for many years to come.

SMITHS mobile horsebox bar is available to hire for corporate events and functions throughout Suffolk, Norfolk and Essex.
Whatever the occasion, an annual party, a big leaving do, a staff thank-you, or entertaining those important clients, you can rely on SMITHS mobile bar to provide a professional, first class service that will be appreciated by your guests.
Drinks packages are tailor-made for your event, whether it's a relaxing afternoon with chilled beer and Pimms or a black-tie event calling for G&T's and Champagne, we have it covered.

PUBLIC EVENTS
Smiths mobile horsebox bar has wheels, can travel!
We love to join in with the fun and are very happy to attend public events such as country shows, food and drink fairs, sports events or music festivals.
If you require a stylish bar with friendly attentive staff serving the best quality local craft beers on tap, please get in touch.
We offer craft beers, wines and spirits, Pimms and Prosecco, just gin or any combination that you think is right for your event.
Fully insured and council inspected.
We can hook to up to a suitable electric supply or use our own 'silent' generator.
Weekend dates fill up quite quickly but please contact us even at short notice to check for cancellations.

WEDDING AND PRIVATE EVENT HIRE COSTS
Our standard booking/hire fee is £200.00.
This secures the date in our diary and includes delivery, return and hire of the horsebox for the pre-agreed duration of the event (5 hours standard), professional and friendly bar staff, ice, garnishes, provision of drinkware and sundries (paper straws, napkins etc.).
Optional props and floral displays are available.
If your chosen venue does not have a premises licence we will apply for a Temporary Events Notice on your behalf from the local authority (fee included within the booking fee).
There is a minimum spend behind the bar of £1,500 between November-March.
From April until October minimum spend for weekdays is £1500 and £2000 for weekends.

BAR OPTIONS
CASH BAR
Your guests pay for their own drinks at the bar. We accept cash and cards.
N.B. Cash bar minimum spend is paid in advance 7-10 days before the event and refunded fully or in part after the event takes place.
PRE-PAID BAR
You as the host opt to put an amount of your choice behind the bar to get the party started. Once this has been exhausted we let you know, you can then choose to either top up your contribution or let your guests pay for any further drinks.
OPEN BAR
The most generous option - the host pays for all the drinks for the duration of the event. The agreed drinks budget is paid 2 weeks before the event.
Prices for this option are on a sliding scale according to the number of guests. Please contact us for a quote.
All bar options have a minimum spend of £1,500.*
Disposable, re-cyclable drinkware is provided as standard, if premium glassware is required please check if glass is permitted at your chosen venue.
SOME FAQ's
Do you provide staff?
Yes, a minimum of two staff for the duration of the event, at least one will have a Personal Alcohol Licence.
Can the horsebox bar be located inside?
If the space is large enough we are happy to be located inside, although this would require a large building such as a barn or large marquee.
How big is the bar?
The horse box is 20ft long (including hitch), 7'6" wide and 8'8" high.
Do you need access to electricity?
We have the option of being hooked up to a suitable electricity supply (preferable) or we have our own silent Honda generator where this is not possible.
When will you need access to the venue?
Set up takes 2-3 hours before the event and break down at least an hour. We will liaise with the venue to ensure everything runs smoothly.
Can we hire just the horsebox and provide our own bar staff and drinks?
Sorry, this option is not currently available.
Are you insured?
Yes, we have full public liability insurance for both public and private events.

We know that planning any event, whether it be a wedding, a country show or company annual party, although extremely exciting can also at times be a tad stressful. Hiring a professional bar provider who you can trust will take the strain out of your day, letting you relax and enjoy your special celebration or event with your guests.
