WEDDINGS and
PRIVATE EVENTS
 

We know you're excited, the day is finally in the diary so now all the fun of planning can truly start. Whether you are just gathering information or making firm commitments, we understand the process of planning a wedding or special party can bring its stresses. We are here to help take the strain so you can enjoy your big day with your loved ones without worrying about the minutiae of the bar.

 

We offer several bar options and can arrange a bespoke drinks menu if there is something particular you would like us to serve to your guests.  Maybe a personalised tipple for the increasingly popular 'Cocktail Hour' or for something different why not have a pre-wedding party or extend the revelries and hire us for the next day too, think Bloody Marys for brunch.... the possibilities for memorable bar experiences are endless.

We put just as much effort into planning the bar experience for birthday parties, anniversaries and all big life events, we want your special celebration to hold memories to be cherished for many years to come.

CORPORATE EVENTS and

SMITHS horsebox bar is available to hire for corporate events and functions throughout East Anglia.

Whatever the occasion, annual party, big leaving do, staff thank-you, or entertaining those important clients, you can rely on SMITHS mobile bar to provide a professional, first class bar service that will be appreciated and admired by your guests.

Drinks packages are tailor-made for your event, whether it's a relaxing afternoon with chilled beer and Pimms or a black tie event calling for G&T's and Champagne, we've got it covered.

If you want to show off your own brand beer or sprits with a bit of pizzaz, get in touch to see how we can work together. SMITHS bar is perfect for showcasing products at launch events or industry trade shows. We take the time to learn about your company's ethos, and will positively promote your goods or services to prospective customers, both face to face and on our social media pages.

PUBLIC EVENTS

Smiths horsebox bar has wheels, can travel!

We love to join in with the fun and are very happy to attend public events whether it be a local country show, food and drink fair, sports event or music festival.

​

If you require a stylish bar with reliable friendly staff that serve the best quality local beers on tap get in touch. 

We serve craft beer, wines and spirits, Pimms and Prosecco, just gin or any combination that you think is right for your event.

​

Fully insured and council inspected with a 5 star rated hygiene certificate.

​

We can hook to up to a suitable electric supply or use our 'green' gas powered generator.

​

Weekend dates obviously fill up quite quickly but do contact us even if it's short notice, you might be lucky.

Hire Fees and Bar Options
 

WEDDING AND PRIVATE EVENT HIRE COSTS

There is a standard booking and hire fee of £200.00.

​

This will secure the date in our diary and includes delivery, return and hire of the horse box for the pre-agreed duration of the event, two professional and friendly bar staff, ice, provision of drinkware and sundries (paper straws, napkins etc.).

 

Our props and colour co-ordinated floral displays are provided at no extra cost. 

 

If your chosen venue does not have a premises licence we will apply for a Temporary Events Notice on your behalf from the local authority (fee included within the booking fee). 

​

 There is a minimum spend behind the bar of £1,000.

​

BAR OPTIONS

CASH BAR

Your guests pay for their own drinks at the bar. We have a modern iPad card payment system and accept cash.

​

PRE-PAID BAR

You as the host opt to put an amount of your choice behind the bar to get the party started. Once this has been exhausted we let you know, you can then choose to either top up your contribution or let your guests pay for any further drinks.

​

OPEN BAR

The most generous option - the host pays for all the drinks for the duration of the event. A deposit is required 8 weeks before the event and the balance requires to be settled at the end of the event. 

​

All bar options have a minimum spend of £1,000.

​

Disposable, recyclable drinkware is provided as standard, if premium glassware is required please check if glassware is permitted at your chosen venue.

SOME FAQ's 

Do you provide staff? 

Yes, two uniformed staff for the duration of the event, at least one will have a Personal Alcohol Licence. 

​

Can the horse box bar be located inside?

If the space is large enough we are happy to be located inside, although this would require a large building such as a barn or large marquee. 

​

How big is the bar?

The horse box is 20ft long (including hitch), 7'6" wide and 8'8" high.

​

Do you need access to electric?

We have the option of being hooked up to a suitable electric supply (preferable) or we have a 'green' gas powered generator where this is not possible.

 

When will you need access to the venue?  

Set up takes 2-3 hours before the event and break down at least an hour. We will liaise with the venue to ensure everything runs smoothly.

​

Can we hire just the horsebox and provide our own bar staff and drinks?

Sorry, this option is not currently available. 

​

Are you insured?

Yes, we have full public liability insurance.

​
